OUR PROCESS
We specialize in improving home comfort by using a combination of high-performance HVAC and building science. This approach is proven, but very few HVAC contractors have the tools, education and experience to successfully diagnose and improve common problems like poor comfort, humidity problems, unhealthy air and high energy bills. Our Comfort Consultation will identify the root causes of these problems so our recommendations can be effective and affordable. Most people, including most HVAC contractors, fail to realize that comfort problems are a combination of a poorly performing HVAC system AND a poorly performing building envelope. The building envelope, or "thermal shell" separates the conditioned space from unconditioned spaces like attics, crawlspaces and the outdoors. Ingnoring the building envelope and trying to find an "HVAC only" solution results in trial and error that wastes time and money and can hurt your health and your home in the process.

We heard about Tim from a friend that had been watching his YouTube videos. We were anxious to meet him and hear what he had to say about the humidity problem and damage it has done at our beach house. When he got there, he took time to give us some background and walk us through his process during the day. Then periodically he checked in with us to let us know how it was going and then when he was finished, he talked to us at length about his initial findings and where he saw problems and potential ways to address/ solve them, and in what particular order which is exactly what we were looking for. In very short order, we got a preliminary report from him and look forward to the final report in another week or so. I recommend Tim for anyone that is having problems with humidity/ HVAC support and not just if you have a current problem; it could be very valuable to have him come take a look, in case something you don't know about now doesn't become something much bigger in the future.
